Great Job on the migration Jim. You do a huge amount of work behind the scenes - just wanted you to know that it is appreciated, buddy. See you in August.

Cool! This can only mean Red Sox tickets for me.... Best of luck. Would you have to travel?

No travel; I would be able to give reports on players in my region of NJ. I hope it works out.

Nice work... this is great! I hope the Red Sox hitting goes as seamlessly. Thanks!

Thanks. It was an interesting couple of days. By the way, I am trying to get a job as an associate scout for the Red Sox. I will let you know what happens.

Do I Know You From Somewhere

I might be your worst nightmare - I'm a BOSTON RED SOX fan with a microphone. Outside of my wife saying "yes" and the birth of my children, October 2004 might have been the best time of my life. October 2007 was pretty cool, too. Fenway Park is one of my favorite places in the whole world.

I have a rather busy schedule these days, working what amounts to TWO full-time jobs (no, I don't get much sleep), doing two things I truly love.

Monday through Friday mornings from 6-10 AM, I wake you up on WDHA with Nancy Reamy and Jacquelyn Karl. Traffic and weather four times an hour, I go easy on (most) Yankee fans, and we play a great mix of music that you can't get anywhere else.

I also host the only free-form rock show left on commercial radio in the tri-state area every Sunday morning from 6:30-10 AM - All Mixed Up. It's everything from the Monkees to Frank Zappa, from Toad the Wet Sprocket to Bruce Springsteen. That link will take you to the message board for the show where you'll be able to check out the playlists from each show.
Besides the radio stuff (where else can you get paid to play CDs?), I also teach baseball at Professional Baseball Instruction in Upper Saddle River (where else can you get paid to play catch with a kid?). Oh, and my son dominated his T-Ball team as a five-year old! (That's a joke, son.)

And in my spare time...I play in a 5-piece rock band with Maury Rutch, Tim Perry, Chris Lewis and Mark Ficken.

I'm also very into Martin guitars and spend FAR too much time on The Unofficial Martin Guitar Forum.
